Enjoy a day away from the hustle and bustle of the city: try a dive from the shore at the Athenian coastline and you will be amazed of all the hidden underwater jewels waiting for you! The coastline of Athens offers magnificent places to dive and the sea is very easy with no strong currents or tides, so don't miss the opportunity while you are here to discover them!!
We pick you up from your hotel with our airconditioned mini van and we head to the dive site. The dive sites are 25 to 45 minutes drive approximately from Athens city centre, where you can enjoy the ride as we pass through the south Athens coastline road. We prepare our equipment which is very well maintained every year and small age. Your experienced instructor will give you a short briefing about the dive and we are ready to dive: beautiful reefs, walls and the famous “Blue Hole” are waiting for you to discover. Great visibility (usually up to 30 meters) and warm water (up to 28 C – 82 F) depending on the season. The “Blue Hole” looks like a man-made well located at Vouliagmeni area, very close to Vouliagmeni lake. It is at a beautiful rocky bay about 10 meters from the coast and it starts from 10 meters depth going down to 30 meters. Its width is about 4 meters and that, along with the easy access, makes it an easy dive ideal even for the less experienced divers!! The “Blue Hole” is considered to be connected with Vouliagmeni lake through an underwater cave system that has not been explored yet. All divers should be certified at least Open Water Diver level and will be DAN insured. If you are not a certified diver you can experience scuba diving with the Discover Scuba program that is for beginners at another dive site. Our crew also holds an underwater camera and - if you wish - we will make sure that all your memories will be recorded and given to you at the end of the dive - free of charge!
